JOHN CONSTANT arrived here (Buffalo Hart Township) October 7, 1826. Mr. Constant was a native of Kentucky, and was in Clarke county, September 13, 1781, and was married March 11, 1802, to Susan Edminston. Mr. Constant lived but nine years after coming to Illinois. He died November 18, 1835, and his widow, March 18, 1864.
