These biographies were submitted by a researcher and evidently abstracted from the 1876 History of Sangamon
County, IL. Errors could occur, so one should always verify the correctness by obtaining copies of vitals and performing all
necessary research to document what is contained herein.
ALVIN CROSS
was born in Madison county, Kentucky, and when a young man moved to Humphreys county, Tennessee, where he married Margaret Forbes. Subsequently he moved to Johnson county, Illinois, and from there to Sangamon county, arriving January, 1829, in what is now called Auburn township. He lived a few years, and died in 1849.
